Durants Park Wetlands Questionnaire

We would like to seek the views of parks users on our proposals to introduce wetlands features in the southeast corner of the park (adjacent to Alma Road).

The questionnaire is entirely voluntary and any information you provide will be treated confidentially and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

The aim of the project is to create a series of wetland features in the park and reconnect the local community to their nearby rivers. The proposals include the following improvements to the site and local area:

• The enhancement of native biodiversity by creating diverse and interesting habitat areas in and around the wetland system
• Flood risk mitigation for properties in the local area and downstream, by increasing the storage of flood waters for extreme events
• The improvement of the water quality of the Salmons Brook tributary (Brimsdown Ditch) by using natural, restorative treatment measures (in the form of a wetland)
