Update to the Proposed Interventions Map

On 17 January 2024 we commenced the second phase of community engagement on the proposed Edmonton Green Quieter Neighbourhood. We delivered letters to residents and businesses in the area which included a map of the proposed interventions. Thank you to those who are already engaging with us on the proposals. In response to feedback received, we have made some minor updates to the map to display the proposed interventions more clearly. The updated map can be found in the ‘Maps & Drawings’ folder in the document section of this webpage.

The updates include:

  • Moved the location of the modal filter on Monmouth Road from the east side of Oxford Road to the west side of Oxford Road as it was previously shown incorrectly. Included a shape to better show the location of the School Street camera enforced timed closures.
  • Added an existing modal filter that is located on Brookside Road.
  • Shifted the location of the bus gate on Plevna road slightly south. This change was made to make it clear the bus gate would be located south of the crossing near Salmon Brook.
  • Changed the label of the Cycle Routes in the key to clarify these are on-carriageway cycle routes. This means that cyclists will mix with general traffic, with signage and road markings proposed to help with route finding.
  • Changed the label of the parking changes to read ‘remove or relocate footway parking’, to better demonstrate the proposed changes.
  • Updated the graphic for the proposed traffic calming measures to better demonstrate where these would be considered.
